"Wayne Black" was Graham Reznick's first student narrative short film, shot in the summer of 2001 with a hand-crank Bolex 16mm camera and out-of-date black and white reversal stock. With a lean crew of 2-5 and cast of 1-3, depending on who was around, production took place for a few hours a day over the course of a week and a half.

SYNOPSIS:
Rosa, on her way back to her Uncle's house in Black, Texas, finds a lift with the naive but 'tough' Wayne. The end of the road is not the end of the story, as Wayne is jettisoned into a paranoiac surreality where no one is to be trusted, not even himself. Woods, cliffs, open roads and dark bedrooms permeate this feedback landscape.
